Samsung's stacking method for arranging icons on Android

Samsung's stacking method for arranging icons on Android

Samsung is coming up with a new method for organizing icons for the Android OS in response to Apple?s claim over the folder organizing method.?

Traditionally, items on a screen can be grouped together by dragging them into a folder, but Samsung is proposing that the items should be ?stacked? instead.? Although it?s an intuitive work-a-around of the folder method, the stacking is limited to the certain amount of screen space.

There are various proposed methods for expanding the stacked icons, which include expansions of the icons like an accordion, or through a scrolling interface.? The method that most closely resembles the opening and closing of a folder is a ?secondary? screen that reveals all the stacked icons.

When it comes down to it, the stacked icon is a folder without the folder icon aspect.? For the rest of the pictoral depictions please visit patentbolt.com.
